On Thursday April 7th, we will be holding our 35th Annual Production Sale at the ranch North of Hilger. This year we will be selling 165 bulls and they look to be our most complete set ever. We have a nice cross-section of calving ease bulls to go along with some more powerful bulls that are sure to add pounds to your calves come weaning time.
In this years crop of bulls, you will find some of the consistent, time tested bulls that we have been using for several years along with some new bulls that you have never seen before.
AAR Ten X 7008 SA is one of the most talked about up and coming sires in the breed. His sons have excellent calving ease to go along with exceptional growth. They are very consistent and they have excellent carcass numbers. We are calving his first daughters and they are looking to be great females. They are deep bodied, good uddered cows with plenty of milk.
BC Matrix sires another one of our top groups of calves. We used Matix because of his improved scrotal and milk over his sire OCC Emblazon 854E. His calves are very deep ribbed who are very correct on thier feet with great thickness. His daughters are turning into some of the best cows in the breed and they have near perfect udders.
We purchased Sitz Dash 10277 out of the 2008 Sitz Angus Fall bull sale along with Gartner Denowh Angus and Harrison Land and Livestock. We chose him for his moderate frame and extra thickness. He's breeding true to our expectations and his offspring have been very easy calving. His daughters are very deep sided, feminine and clean fronted.
We also will have sons out of RA Nebraska R110, ER Justice N013, B Bar I87 Alliance 2017, HARB Hellferstout 726 JH, AAR Image Maker 6538, AAR High Five 8563 and several others.
We also will be selling 50 top quality females. They are picked from the heart of the Arntzen replacement’s. Whether you are looking for a 4H project or a group of commercials to add to you herd, we will have a heifer for you.
Everyone is welcome to join us at noon for lunch with the sale to follow at 1 pm. The bulls are fed at Bold's feedlot in Winifred until the first of March then they will be brought back home to the ranch. Stop by any time if you would like to give them an early look. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call.
